The Prospect
Search and Rescue Unit of Jackson County
Search and Rescue Team is
holding its 19th Annual Prospect
Fly-In on Saturday and Sunday, July
19th and 20th. 2008.
 Our
very exquisite
Steak & Chicken
BBQ on Saturday at 1730 hours
(5:30 PM for civilians) will again
be the talk of west-coast pilots.
And we'll be serving ham, hotcakes,
eggs, and hash browns
Sunday morning beginning at 0600,
for those folks wishing to depart
early in the cool mountain air. We
expect live music, our regular
raffle and a kid's raffle.
There
will be a hot-dog lunch on
Saturday, Coffee and pop will also
be available. BBQ/breakfast tickets
are $20, ($17/$6 for the individual
meals), with just a $7 tab for
"vegetarian-only" at the BBQ.
Half-price ($8/$3) for ages 6-12.
Dry camping is available at the
airport, or you may try the VERY
popular Prospect Historic Hotel for
elegant accommodations (1-800
944-6490). Reserve EARLY, they sell
out quickly. Please do NOT call the
Hotel for fly-in information.
Airport camping is FREE, on
the caretaker's lawn (first come,
first served), or by your plane.
Much of the tie down area is dusty,
so PLEASE be aware of your prop
blast!
Bring chairs
and your camera ... it's very exciting and fun
to watch the planes arrive and visit with the
pilots! |
